SMS Terms and Conditions: Hometown Auto & Credit

If you opt into Hometown Auto & Credit Inc (also referred to as “Dealership”) text message program (“Program”), you further agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this section.

Consent

By enrolling in the Program, you consent for Dealership to use an automated system to send marketing and accounting related text messages to the telephone number(s) you provided at enrollment. You acknowledge that your consent to receive these messages is not required to purchase any goods or services and that cancellation of your account does not automatically revoke your consent. Information and phone numbers obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties.

Program Description and Cost

As part of the Program, Dealership will send you text messages about payments that are due or services that Dealership may provide. Dealership does not charge any fee to participate in the Program.

Potential Fees for SMS Messaging

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

Types of SMS Communications

If you have consented to receive text messages from Hometown Auto & Credit Inc, you may receive messages related to the following:

  • Appointment reminders
  • Follow-up messages
  • Billing inquiries
  • Promotions or offers (if applicable)

Message Frequency

Dealership anticipates a typical Program participant will receive approximately 10 messages per month per service line. Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 5 SMS messages per week related to your payments, billing etc.

Supported Carriers

Supported carriers include, but are not limited to: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile USA.

Supported carriers are not responsible for the Program and may not be held liable for any problem or claim arising in connection with it. If your handset does not support MMS, any MMS messages sent may be delivered as SMS messages. Wireless carriers are not liable for undelivered or delayed messages.

Opt-In Method

You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from Hometown Auto & Credit Inc in the following ways.

  • Verbally, during a conversation
  • By submitting an online form
  • By filling out a paper form

Opt-Out

You may opt out of the Program by texting STOP. You consent to receive one message confirming your opt-out. If you are participating in any other text message programs provided by Dealership, you must opt out of those programs separately.
